Exotic (short haired)
|
Description
The Exotic is a solid, rounded, stocky cat. The cat has a short compact body with broad shoulders and rump. The eyes are large, round and set far apart, and the cheeks and whisker pads are rounded, contributing to the sweet expression so prized in this breed. Small, rounded ears set wide apart on the broad head add to the impression of roundness. Not everyone likes the extremely broad, flat face of the show exotic, however, the traditional Exotic has a less flattened face than the show Exotic or extreme Persian.
The Exotic's personality is slightly different from the Persian’s. Exotics tend to be more active and lively than the placid Persian. They tend to be a bit brighter, too. They are also more playful and enjoy a good romp around the living room. Despite their more active temperament, Exotics, like Persians, are loyal, sweet, and affectionate. They are agreeable, non-aggressive, and get along well with other animals and children. Their serene temperaments make them ideal indoor companions.

Tonkinese
|
Description
The Tonkinese is medium-sized but muscular and athletic. The head is a slightly rounded wedge shape, the ears are medium-sized and alert, and the eyes are almond-shaped and pleasantly slanted. Tonkinese come in three patterns: solid like the Burmese, pointed like the Siamese, and mink, midway between the two. Tonkinese have darker colour on the pointed areas of the body. Pointed Tonkinese have blue eyes and solids have an eye colour ranging from green to gold. Coat colours are natural, champagne, blue and platinum.
The Tonkinese is chatty, curious, playful and people orientated. They have a super-smart personality. Their voices are milder in tone than the Siamese and they are not generally as vocal. Tonkinese stick to your side as if attached there. They make every activity a game, whether it’s helping you make the beds or assisting with dinner. They crave affection and companionship. They form close bonds with their human friends, so a Tonkinese is not a good choice if you spend a great deal of time away from home.

Somali
|
Description
The Somali is a breathtaking cat to behold, with its large ears, masked face, full ruff and bushy tail. The Somali’s wild, feral look is what immediately draws attention. Somalis are well-proportioned, medium to large cats with firm muscular development. Their body is medium long and graceful, with a medium-length soft and silky coat. The coat is usually one to three inches long, with shorter fur across the shoulders. The tail is fluffy and full; their feet have tufts between the toes. Their large, almond shaped eyes range in colour from intense green to rich copper. The Somali has a ticked coat with several bands of colour on each hair. The ticked fur mantles the cat with harmonizing solid colour on its underside. They come in four colours: ruddy, red, blue and fawn.
Somalis are intelligent cats, they have soft voices and are usually quiet. They communicate with human family members through soft mews and possess a charming trill. They are extroverts and very social. Possessed with a zest for life, they love to play, and thrive on human companionship. Somalis have bursts of energy several times a day, at which time they will take off through the house, jumping into the air. Tail and back arched, the Somali will run sideways like a monkey, and even hold objects and food the way a monkey does. Adept at opening cupboards and drawers, Somalis sometimes hide inside their secret areas. Many Somalis can manipulate taps, and they love to play with water.
