Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Description
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a powerful and muscular dog, very strong for his size with a broad head and very strong jaws. The round eyes are brown and the nose is black. The ears are either rose or half-pricked. The neck is short and muscular. The front legs are spaced wide apart. The short coat is soft, sleek and close, and comes in black, blue, fawn or brindle, often with white markings.
Height: 13-16 inches (33-41cm)
Weight: 23-38 pounds (10-17kg)

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is extremely courageous and obedient. Intelligent, and affectionate, it has a sense of humour. They are very devoted to the point of giving its own life for its master. Usually adored and adoring within its own family circle. It is usually good with other pets in the household, but may be very combative with dogs outside the family. The Staffordshire needs firm and consistent training to curb its instinct to fight with other dogs. They are persistent and active. As a puppy they tend to chew a great deal. They love children. These dogs are not recommended for most families because they need firm, experienced handling and training. Do not allow it to be off its lead unless it is safe to do so. Buy only from a reputable breeder or you may wind up with a very aggressive dog.
