Description
This lovable little dog is among the smallest of the working terriers. It has a short, strong, sturdy body with strongly boned legs and a fox like muzzle. The eyes are dark and expressive. The ears are hanging and tight to the cheeks. The tail is short and erect. Their coats are wiry and straight and come in red, wheaten, tan, black & tan, grizzle, and occasionally with white markings. The faces sport jaunty whiskers and eyebrows. Height: 9-10 inches (23-25cm.) Weight: 10-12 pounds (4-5kg.)
The Norfolk Terrier is active, courageous, affectionate, balanced, and calm. They are easy to train but need consistency. These little dogs love everyone and are good with children. He will dig and bark if left outside for long periods with nothing to occupy his quick mind. They love toys and balls and are generally good with other pets, but can be difficult to housebreak. Norfolk Terriers should not be let off of their lead unless secure. Norfolk Terriers sometimes suffer from jealousy.
