Description
The Chinchilla is really a Persian cat with beautiful green eyes. The body is large and in proportion with good bone structure. The head is round, with a broad skull, full cheeks and an open face. The ears are small, round tipped, set well apart and well tufted inside. The eyes are large, set well apart, round and green in colour. The nose is short, broad and of medium length. The tail is shorter than the body length and carried low. The coat is dense and long on the body, with a full ruff and brush. Its texture is fine, soft and silky, glossy in appearance and stands away from the body. Coat colours include: Silver, Blue Silver, Chocolate Silver, Lilac Silver, Golden, Blue Golden, Chocolate Golden, Lilac Golden.
The Chinchilla are very appealing cats with very beautiful eyes. Chinchilla's are even tempered and they make placid and glamorous looking pets. Chinchilla's have quite melodious voices. Playful but never demanding, they love to pose and will drape themselves in a favorite window or chair. They are very responsive and become a constant source of joy and delight to their owners. Their companionship is close and enduring. It is essential that the coat is groomed on a daily basis.

Grooming
